What is the PADI Rescue Diver Course?

The PADI Rescue Diver Course is designed to prepare you to prevent, recognize, and respond to diving emergencies. It is an important step in becoming a safe and confident diver. During the course, you will learn how to assess and manage risks, how to rescue distressed divers, and how to handle emergency situations.

What are the qualifications do you  needed to do the PADI Rescue Diver Course?

To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver Course, you must have an Advanced Open Water Diver certification and be at least 15 years old. You must also have completed an Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary and Secondary Care training within the past 24 months, or be trained in CPR and first aid by another organization recognized by PADI.

At Poseidon Diving Centre, we will provide you with a comprehensive Rescue Diver Manual to review before the start of the course. There is also a Rescue Diver Online E-Learning option where you can complete the theory requirements at your own pace, which would save you valuable time on your vacation.

Practicals for PADI Rescue Diver Course

The practical part of the PADI Rescue Diver Course is where the real learning takes place. You’ll get to practice a range of skills including self-rescue, basic rescue techniques, search and recovery procedures, and emergency response. You will work closely with one of our certified Rescue Diver Instructors, who will help you perfect your skills and knowledge.

This course is available at all Poseidon Diving Centres. Poseidon diving center is the first five-star PADI diving center in Sri Lanka and has been in operation for 50 years. Rescue Diver certification is available at the best price in Hikkaduwa (October to April South Coast) and Nilaveli Trincomalee (April to September East Coast).
